The Stong Home circa 1909

The photos below were taken several days before the home was completely razed. They show the rich detailing and the period fixtures still present inside the home despite having been vandalized (the front door along with its hardware was stolen) shortly after the perimeter fencing had been put up.

The home was still in good shape until an asbestos removal crew power-washed several rooms, destroying the maple wood flooring throughout the home.

WOOD DETAILING

Rich detailing of wood-lined stairwell leading down to the basement. Looking up (above) and looking down (right).

(Below left) Cabinetry in the butler's pantry. Note the tongue-and-groove paneling, vintage latches and early 1900 door hardware (lower right).

LIGHTING

Several examples of period lighting; (left to right) Utility porch light, Craftsman (with newer bulbs and shades) and combination gas electric fixture (far right).
